You stole my heart Valentine!

My son and I were brainstorming about valentines day cards for his kindergarten class, trying to come up with something to outdo his cards from last year, which was a shot of his face covered in stickers with the line "I'm stuck on you Valentine!".  Using all of his favorite things these days, legos, police and candy, this is what we came up with. Got the shot just in time too, as his little sister ate the candy heart right after this was taken.

Breckenridge portrait session

These are a few of my favorites from Lizzie and TJ's engagement portrait session last fall in Breckenridge, CO. The handmade wedding date numbers were Lizzie's idea and something I hadn't seen or shot before. Looking forward to shooting the wedding in the summer!

SIA Snowshow 2012

If you happen to be in Denver for the SIA Snowshow this weekend, chances are you will walk right past the Vintage Winter booth. I've been shooting for Jeff Hume a bit for his website of ski and snow riding related decor.

Shot of the Yard, including the Winter Park and Ruby Hill Rail Yard booths, at last years SIA Snowshow. Ping pong anyone?

Ruby Hill Rail Yard, one year ago

Unfortunately, I have to post some shots from last year as Ruby Hill Rail Yard project has been cancelled for the 2012 season by Denver Parks and Recreation. Warm weather is to blame this year as the snowmaking was never turned on, so sad. So today we remember what it is and what will be again, a community coming together to provide a wonderful place to get city kids hooked on snow.

"And don't keep the faith."

Christopher Hitchens closing a letter he wrote to apologize for missing a speaking engagement at the American Athiests convention in April of 2011 due to his recent diagnosis of esophageal cancer.

This photo was taken in March of 2010, on stage just after Apolo Ohno, one week removed from his record setting olympics performance, had finished speaking. His opening line, which cracked everyone up was, "Now I know how a person feels who just got second at a Marylin Monroe look alike contest."
