Prints for Causes

Above is a canvas print of a historical sunrise on Peak Eight in Breckenridge, CO. Historical in the fact that it was shot in 2004 and there now sits a ski lift almost to the summit, plainly visible even while you drive into town. I love this shot because it always takes me back to that morning at our house on Locals Lane. The only reason I was up was our one year old puppy Maya had to go pee. She scratched at the door, I opened it and immediately ran back inside for the camera and shot a few frames from the front porch. The colors are right there in the Provia slide film. This was it.
It gives me great pleasure to officialy launch my Prints for Causes program, where a portion of profits on all print sales will go to a specific cause. I'm beginning the series by celebrating winter and supporting the Colorado Avalanche Information Center. They are having a fundraiser this saturday night Nov 12th, if you are interested in helping out this vital public service. , help an important cause, get some Christmas shopping done!

Stage 5 of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge in Breckenridge, CO
It was an electric and rowdy scene in Breckenridge, CO at the finish line of the USA Pro Cycling Challenge. Sage 5 started in Steamboat Springs, CO and was briefly led by Andy Schleck coming into Breck, only to be caught by the sprinters on the last corner...Way to go overall champ Levi Leipheimer! See you next year...

Hats off, or should I say on, to stage winner Elia Viviani with another amazing finish having won the stage in Steamboat the day before. Makes me want to chant Ullr, ullr...
