One shot from Rockygrass

This was a special weekend because we borrowed a truck with a pop top and were living large with a fridge, stove and a crib for my one year old boy Jaden (bottom left in black shirt, in my wife's Sarah's arms). The constant music, heat and stimulation didn't faze him a bit. It was an awesome weekend with a wonderful group of people. Check out the six kids all under three years old!

Silverton rocks

Oh man do I love skiing. I love it, love it, love it. And snowboarding, cross country skiing, and snow. Lots of it. We don't have much so far this year, so I thought I'd share some shots from a ski trip to Silverton Mountain, Colorado last season. We wanted to go where there always seems to be lots of snow and were blown away by the place. It had been dumping on and off for weeks and we lucked out and had a warm partly cloudy day. Simply the most incredible ski area, Silverton has only one lift that lands at the end of a spectacular ridge that can be hiked and skiied on both sides. Every run we made had at least one fall-and-you-get-hurt zone. I rode with some old friends, whooped it up and just had a kick a-- time that day. I shot these with my Lomo plastic fisheye camera and old Kodak 400 NC film.

Wedding by the sea
This past September, I assisted Ty Milford on a wedding shoot in southern Massachsetts. What an amazing setting, right on the ocean. We had warm calm weather all weekend right up until the tail end of a hurricane hit us during the reception. As a second shooter, I was grateful to get to concentrate on getting more sense of place kinds of shots.

Ruby Hill Railyard

In early January they brought in snowmaking equipment, a snowcat to groom the snow and a crew of Winter Park employees to install six rails. Volunteers from all over Denver helped to maintain the hill for six weeks, through the end of February. An avid skier and snowboarder myself, I really enjoyed shooting these guys and gals ripping it up.
I would like to thank Tim Hutchens at Denver Parks and Rec and Bob Holme at Winter Park Resort for the nod.
