Woo hoo, it was a chilly night with some hot skiing. Most of the time they all stuck their landings, very good to see that. Only saw one 'that's-gonna-hurt-cause-I-heard-an-echo-throughout-Civic-Center-Park' crash, from the sound of the young man's person hitting the-scaffolding/plywood/astroturf/manmade snow covered landing, not so good to see that. He was ok thankfully. Alex Bellemare, above, was a winner and a spinner. Check out the Denver Big Air contest results, if you like.

It's Open
Setup is complete! Seven boxes and rails were installed last night with the help of the Rail Yard crew from Winter Park, the folks at Denver Parks and Rec, and a hardworking team of dedicated snowmaking and park volunteers.
The Ruby Hill Rail Yard is open for the 2011 season!

Snowmaking at the Ruby Hill Rail Yard
The Ruby Hill Rail Yard is scheduled to open this weekend January 8th, 2011 after the snowmaking crew has made a ton of snow and the rails are set tonight!
